About Me

Born and raised in the Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. My family owned a bakery while growing up so jumping on and off flour sacks became lots of fun!

As I grew older and noticed the surrounding pleasures of Bushy and Richmond Park, going for long runs and cycles became and still are a great way to think, destress and see the natural beauty that is around us.

After attending Richmond College and finding a passion for sport, my future had been decided. The pathway of coaching or teaching was my destiny. A week in a school ignited my love of learning and inspiring others to learn. Attending St Mary’s University was a no brainer as it is renowned for being a superb teaching university but also had the bonus of being down the road from where I lived. Diagnosed with Dyslexia at the age of 21 while at university during my teacher training from working with a group of children and noticing similar traits in my own learning journey.

Since becoming a teacher 7 years ago, my love for reading and writing has skyrocketed thus resulting in me writing this book. ‘Run with your Carrots’ has been an idea I have in my head for a while and has been brought to life by the illustrational talents of Hannah De Frond. There are many more ideas that are being formed into exciting and meaningful stories.

My creative imagination has been captured and shaken up by books I have read or from listening to children’s ideas. Who knows what the future has installed but it is exciting.

Currently teaching at Eton End School in Datchet.
